Ensuring success
Its NOT so important for me to grow and develop in my life. Its rather more important that what value I or more so "WE" create for society through our expertise and knowledge.
Entrepreneurship is more about growth and development of society in general. Off course I will grow being part of society but I don't plan for growth myself individually. My main focus is to contribute maximum within my capabilities for the growth of our society.
To ensure the growth of society, I or rather "We" are working hard and working smart to bring innovative technologies which can bring greater impact on industry and society in general. We are working to bring simulation technologies for the oil and gas industry. We are in parallel working on some other innovative technology outside oil and gas industry. The focus is to ensure the benefits for the customers and society.
We are improving our skills, professionalism and knowledge to contribute strongly by bring maximum benefits for our customers.
My achievements
I am a real slum dog millionaire . I don't know this is my achievement or not BUT for sure I do thank god for this destiny which I never dreamed while growing up in slum. I am proud being grounded and a son who consider his parents as god. I proud being inclined towards helpful to society. I proud being attending IIT and Imperial College London. I proud being an Entrepreneur. Although there are lot more to come ahead however whatever I have achieved till date is satisfactory and moral boosting.
Important decision
The most important decisions, which I have made during my career till date can be:
1. Determination to go to IIT being growing up in Slum in India.
2. Setting up two companies and bring them up through series of challenges.
3. Determination to build a world-class organization
4. Thinking big
5. Getting married and having a stable personal life to balance professional life.
Qualities needed to become a successful leader
I think essential qualities a person require to become a successful leader will be the skills owned by world-class leader like Steve Jobs, Will Gates, Warren Buffet, L N Mittal etc. I think there are number of qualities we need to become a world-class leader or successful leader, few of them would be: dream big, work hard, determination, fast decision, honest, excellence, respect, integrity, ready to take challenge, being rooted, courage, never die attitude etc.
More about myself
I would like to share with a comment told by Mr Amitabh Bachhan "The things that happened according to us is better BUT the things that does not happened according to us is even better. Because the things that does not happen according to us, happen according to the will of god and God will never do anything wrong with us"
This comment always boost up and provide us strength to manage failure which will be the larger part of our success.
Degree that I recommend
There is NO certificate like such. However the biggest certificate we can get ONLY from society. None of the degree/certificate require if the society gives us a thumbs up for our work and contribution.
Influenced by
I think there has been many influence on my life from many leading entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Will Gates, Warren Buffet, Mittal etc. However the most influential will be my great father and his attitude towards dealing with challenges. I have seen how penitently he solve a difficult problem in his life. His strong believe in god and hard work has always been an inspiration for me.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Education system in India certainly need to be retrospect. I think there is lot more we can learn from the movie "3 Idiot". We need a education system that provide more practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge.
I think top institutes like IIT, IIM and many similar need to reduce the pressure on students and let them think creatively. I don't admire the education system abroad but certainly it provide MUCH less pressure than what we feel in India.
I think education system should provide student to think in creative and free manner rather than imposing everyone to become engineer or doctor. This has been the major reason for Indian being NOT producing any world class technology like Google, Facebook, you tube, Apple etc. In our educational system lab our has always prevailed and give priority than creativity. Certainly that need to be improve.
Couple of years from now
I would like to see myself being a better professional who have better skills and knowledge to serve our customers and society. I would like learn the finer things and techniques in business so that we as a team we can build a world-class organization. I would like to work on different level so that we can generate maximum value for our society in general. In couple of years, I would like to bring a innovative technology which can serve the global market. Therefore I see myself being a entrepreneur leading a leading organization Petroleumsoft, having strong foundations.
My strongest skill
1. NEVER give-up.
2. Work hard and party harder
3. Become a better human first before becoming a better professional.
4. Do what I love from the bottom of my heart.
5. Always be rooted with ground where I started the journey.
6. Work for society NOT for yourself
7. Work for customer's benefits, NOT for revenue generation/
Initiative to develop a country
Professionals does lots of things at different level. I don't know how you define a professional. However in my mind, anyone who is doing his assigned job in effective way to contribute to society is a professional. For example, a farmer is equally a professional as an Engineer or doctor. I think we as professional should do and can do is to do our job with honest and leave rest in the god hand. They should think big and determined to achieve. They should learn from experienced professional and work towards growth of society rather than own self.
